When Swan Creative approached us to find them a Creative Designer, we rose to the challenge. The creative digital marketing agency had had the role live on the jobs boards but was struggling to get anywhere. This creative yet technical role requires graphic design skills, a high level of attention to detail, and strong software competencies.
Swan Creative specifically wanted a professional with at least five years of agency experience, who was skilled in print, digital and branding design, and someone with a fun, chatty personality, who was hardworking and organised.
Admittedly, it took several searches to narrow in on the client’s specific objectives, but with great communication from Paul at Swan Creative and some honest feedback, we whittled the shortlist down to just two strong candidates for the final stage, both of whom were viable for offers. We are pleased to say by working closely with the client, in less than three months, we had identified suitable candidates, shortlisted 12, interviewed five, and had the best applicant accept the job offer.
The biggest challenge was the client’s location. Based in Southend, we found our candidate options were relatively limited, with many preferring a London-based role. However, with the lull of the role and the agency’s credibility, we managed to successfully overcome this challenge.
